The Colossus' hyperdrive chamber debuted in the Star Wars Resistance season 1 episode "No Escape: Part 1." Its design was inspired by the lower sections of Cloud City and the carbon-freezing chamber, as featured in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. The goal was to convey a sense of darkness and disuse, reflecting the room's prolonged period of inactivity.
