CoMar Combat Systems was the manufacturer of the SLD-26 planetary shield generator. To protect the DS-2 Death Star II Mobile Battle Station space station that was under construction in orbit, the Galactic Empire deployed an SLD-26 on the moon of Endor during the Galactic Civil War that was fought against the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
The first mention of CoMar Combat Systems occurred in Greg Gorden's Imperial Sourcebook, a supplement for the Star Wars Legends Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games that was published in 1989. Its status as canon was later affirmed by the reference book Ultimate Star Wars, which came out in 2015.
