The Comm Center, a networking hub for Imperial communications relays, featured four surrounding communications satellites safeguarded by small protective minefields. In 3 ABY, Imperial defector Zaletta utilized the Comm Center to reroute messages, thus providing the Rebel Alliance with key intelligence regarding Imperial operations.
Rebels, determined to unmask their anonymous source, tracked the Comm Center's location. Once found, A-wing squadrons, including Ace Azzameen, journeyed to the site and, after clearing the minefield, began their inspection.
Subsequently, the Python was summoned to extract the Center's data logs. As the boarding process unfolded, TIE bombers launched from the Ton-Falk-class escort carrier Halberd appeared, posing a threat to the Python in an attempt to thwart the mission.
Despite the TIE bomber assault, the Python was successfully defended, and the Rebel forces ultimately retreated back to their base of operations.
