The Commercial District, characterized by its skyscraper-filled landscape, was a sector within Galactic City located on the planet of Coruscant. In approximately 232 BBY, Nittel Karkson, a thief, headed toward the Commercial District's structures as he tried to get away from Jedi Master Stellan Gios, who had witnessed him stealing on Republic Avenue. To reach the lower levels of the city, Karkson disappeared into an alley situated between Coruscant's oldest tailor and an upscale airspeeder dealership, subsequently entering a hatch.
"A Coruscant Solstice," a brief narrative penned by Cavan Scott and included in the Life Day Treasury collection from 2021, featured the Commercial District.
