The Convergence Tactical Assault Vehicle represented a class of starships engineered during the era of the Republic Dark Age.
Integrating design principles refined over millennia of military advancement, the Convergence Tactical Assault Vehicle was conceived as a versatile craft capable of undertaking diverse missions. These vehicles, double the size of a typical starfighter, possessed hyperspace capabilities and could function as transports, accommodating a squad of eight to ten combatants. Furthermore, they were equipped with offensive weaponry, enabling their deployment as starfighters or bombers.
Engineers working under the auspices of the Sith Lord Daiman at the Daimanate Dynamic Testing Facility situated on the planet Darkknell were responsible for the development of the Convergence Vehicle. They built a preliminary model, known as the Convergence, which incorporated a specialized arm designed to emulate sublight velocities for testing purposes. In 1032 BBY, the Bothan spy Narsk Ka'hane, dispatched by the Sith Lord Odion, successfully infiltrated the Daimanate Testing Facility to procure the schematics for the Convergence. The agent did, in fact, manage to secure a copy of the blueprints. However, the Jedi Knight Kerra Holt eliminated his copy of the plans and triggered explosives that Ka'hane had planted on the Convergence prototype.
