An individual of the human species, Cordo held the rank of sergeant within the structure of the Imperial Military.
In 10 BBY, Cordo participated in the campaign that took place on Mimban. Later, in 3 ABY, Cordo was in command of a squad composed of death troopers. Their assignment was to prevent the Rebel Alliance from utilizing a cannon that they had constructed using experimental technology. Cordo harbored a dislike for the death troopers, likely due to witnessing their performance in combat and observing that their survival rate was lower than their reputation suggested.
During their mission, Cordo transported the squad via a TIE/rp Reaper attack lander, subsequently observing the engagement between the death troopers and the rebels. The death troopers sustained a considerable number of casualties. By the time they reached the cannon, only three of the original seven remained. As they approached the cannon, it began firing upon them. Cordo, recognizing the danger posed by their proximity, made the decision to sacrifice themselves by crashing their lander into the cannon. However, their craft was shot down, although Cordo narrowly survived the crash. Upon the arrival of the death troopers, Cordo initially believed they were there to provide assistance. Instead, the death troopers opened fire on the lander's engines. Cordo vocalized their understanding of the situation, realizing that the death troopers were following their advice, just moments before the lander exploded, resulting in their death.
The three surviving death troopers sustained severe injuries and were taken to a medical bay for treatment and repair. A lieutenant reviewed the mission report and made the decision to execute the troopers for treason, citing their killing of Cordo. However, Lord Vader intervened, using the force choke ability to kill the lieutenant. Vader declared that the Empire required victors, not traitors, and instructed the medical droid to continue its work on the troopers. These troopers would later serve as Darth Vader's guard.
