The Corellia Mining Corporation was a mining enterprise hailing from the planet of Corellia. This corporation manufactured sandcrawlers alongside the Terrapin-class Bulk Tanker, also known as the "Turtle Tanker". During a surge in mining activity, many of the corporation's sandcrawlers were transported to the arid desert planet of Tatooine. Subsequently, these vehicles were left behind and eventually seized by Jawa clans sometime before 22 BBY.
The initial reference to the Corellia Mining Corporation within the updated Star Wars canon occurred within the 2018 publication, Star Wars Encyclopedia of Starfighters and Other Vehicles, authored by Landry Q. Walker. The company initially appeared in the Star Wars Legends timeline, with its debut mention in the 1998 game guide, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron: The Official Nintendo Player's Guide.
