The Coruscant Accords represented a set of rules and laws implemented within the New Republic following the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War.
Guidelines
Specifically, Section 13, subparagraph seven of the Coruscant Accords placed a ban on investigations related to both cloning and genetic engineering.
History
In the time of the New Republic Era, Amnesty Scientist Doctor Penn Pershing inquired with his parole droid about the permissibility of pursuing research as a hobby, given his past work in cloning and genetic engineering. The droid communicated to the ex-Imperial scientist that the Coruscant Accords placed restrictions on his particular area of study.
