Council of Labor Abuses

The Council of Labor Abuses functioned as an organization inside the Galactic Empire's Imperial Senate. Before the year 10 BBY, the Besalisk named Dexter Jettster found out about a Crimson Dawn criminal operation: an ore hub on Athus Klee. He then journeyed to the planet to investigate what was happening. He was able to obtain several images that showed the hub and the workers, who were being forced to undergo cybernetic modifications to increase how much work they could do.

Following the liberation of one of these exploited workers, Jettster reached out to a friend located on the planet of Coruscant. This friend dispatched an individual to retrieve both the freed worker and the surveillance information from Jettster, intending to present the findings to the Council of Labor Abuses. Jettster subsequently documented this event in the book that would later be known as the Smuggler's Guide. He conceded that, while he didn't anticipate his actions leading to the complete dismantling of Crimson Dawn, he hoped his actions would at least prompt someone to end the cybernetic alterations being performed on the hub's workforce.
