Courage was a war cruiser of the Thranta-class; its sister ships included both Valiant and Fidelity. These three vessels, crewed entirely by droids, acted as escorts for the Alderaanian War Frigate named Another Chance. This frigate transported all the remaining armaments from Alderaan after their disarmament following the Clone Wars. Following the Battle of Derra IV, Rebel supporters discovered the Another Chance and transferred its weapons to the struggling Alliance. Consequently, Courage was abandoned to patrol the Alderaan system, and it is believed to have maintained this watch for numerous subsequent years.
