Crucible (MC80 Star Cruiser)
The Crucible was a Mon Calamari Star Cruiser of the MC80 Liberty type, and it fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War.
History
During the First Battle of Mobetta, the Crucible showed up after hostilities had already commenced, with the objective of rescuing the personnel of the Soren, a starship components factory. Nonetheless, all ships engaged in ferrying people to the Crucible met their end. As the cruiser became a primary target, it was compelled to withdraw. In order to mask its departure, the Crucible then deployed a pair of squadrons. Despite the destruction of both squadrons, they provided the necessary window for the cruiser to jump into hyperspace.
