Csaplar

Csaplar served as the primary city and capital on the planet known as Csilla, which was the seat of power for the Chiss Ascendancy. As the homeworld of the Chiss species, a sentient, near-human race, Csilla housed this important location. During the era when the Galactic Empire began its rise, the majority of Csaplar was situated beneath the icy landscape of Csilla.

The Csaplar spaceport represented one of the limited number of inhabited areas that existed above ground within the city. The remaining populated areas above the surface were primarily dedicated to governmental affairs or commercial activities. These above-ground areas were intentionally designed to give visiting off-worlders the incorrect impression that Csaplar and Csilla possessed a much larger population than was actually the case. To perpetuate this deception of a bustling urban center, only a few hundred individuals, who were regularly rotated, were present in Csaplar's surface-level districts at any one moment. Furthermore, to mimic the daily routines of the purported 7 million inhabitants, traffic, illumination, and thermal energy were consistently sustained. The purpose of these elaborate measures was to deceive potential adversaries into deploying a disproportionately large attack force against a city that was, in effect, largely unoccupied.
