Cularin Trade Show

During the era of the Clone Wars, the Cularin Trade Alliance hosted an exhibition known as the Cularin Trade Show.

About the Event

The purpose of the trade show was to both commemorate the establishment of the Trade Alliance and to highlight the potential advantages it offered to the Cularin system. The event took place on the CTA vessel, the TAV Prosperity, and numerous businesses received invitations to participate.

Among the exhibitors were Joh's New and Used Droid Emporium, the Kashyyyk Academy of Wrestling, Nenmo's Curios, BlasTech Industries, Merr-Sonn Munitions, and SoroSuub, each of which operated booths within the ship's trade hall. Additionally, Ma'Haffee Shipyard showcased select products within the hangar bay. Representatives from the Almas Academy, the Cularin Militia, and Lony Hertz's Force Adept Club were also present, though unofficially, seeking to enlist new members.

Cyreno Taegon, the Vice President of the CTA, delivered a speech about the Alliance to the attendees. His address was disrupted by a holographic projection of Thurm Loogg, the head of the rival Metatheran Cartel. This broadcast originated from a Cartel agent who had infiltrated the show; the agent was promptly discovered and escorted off the premises by Trade Alliance Security. Taegon also touted the Prosperity's upgraded hyperdrive, which he claimed would enable it to initiate hyperspace jumps while concealed within the Cularin comet cloud. In an attempt to demonstrate this capability, the ship attempted a hyperspace jump, but the attempt failed. The ship was violently shaken and left stranded in a hazardous region of the cloud, its control systems disabled. This incident triggered widespread panic and nearly escalated into a riot. However, Osten Dal'Nay, along with other attendees, intervened by piloting the Ma'Haffee ships to assist the Prosperity in escaping the cloud. Taegon subsequently apologized to the attendees and announced the temporary suspension of the new hyperdrive technology.
