Dado was a male Human, and an enslaved person. He resided in Noua, a town found on the planet of Telerath.
Dado, whose father, a fisherman, had deserted his family, yearned for something beyond his current life. He dreamed of becoming a great warrior, practicing with a vibrosword in anticipation of challenging Mors Demanna, the most renowned champion on Telerath, to a duel. When Demanna announced open tryouts for his gang, Dado saw his opportunity and issued the challenge. Demanna, considering Dado insignificant, dismissed him and suggested he stick to fishing. Dado, refusing to be humiliated, drew his sword, ready to fight. At that precise moment, [Dass Jennir](/article/dass_jennir], a former Jedi, intervened, using his blaster and the Force to disarm Demanna, hoping to save Dado from harm. After Demanna was informed by Jennir about Telerath's "Sword law", he retrieved his weapon and severed Dado's right hand, declaring it a lesson for the fisherman to remember his place.
The injured and bleeding Dado was taken to his mother's room in the Ember's Fire, where his mother, Nikollane, along with another woman named Mona, tended to his wound. Later, Dass Jennir visited Dado and used the Force to alleviate his pain. However, Dado misinterpreted Jennir's undercover involvement with Musori's gang as a chance to join the gang himself. He ran away from his mother, thinking that exposing Jennir's true identity would convince the enslavers to accept him into their ranks. However, before he could even approach Musori's mansion, Jennir intercepted him and revealed the gangs' true nature, exemplified by Ken-Kiba and his gang's disregard for the sword law as they plundered Musori's mansion.
