Daedalus Gas Mines (DGM) functioned as an organization dedicated to the extraction of gases. The Daedala Twi'lek family managed DGM's operations. In their business endeavors, the Daedala family was known for making decisions based on intuition.
An example of their ventures was the floating metropolis of Friz Harammel located on Genarius, which was initially deemed a potentially dangerous undertaking given the Cularin system's largely uncharted status at that time. Despite the partners' usual aversion to such risks, the Daedala family gave their backing to this project. Following the success of the operation, the Daedala employed close to a hundred Twi'lek engineers, Hid Toqema among them, to be employed in the Friz Harammel gas mines, in an attempt to support a cultural movement on their home planet.
Furthermore, the company produced both the AR-25 Bubbleship transport and the VA-13 Sweeper, specialized vessels designed for the company's activities, including those at Friz Harammel.
