The Dakaret system, which took its moniker from the holo-vid Denizens of Dakaret IX, resided within the Oktos sector. This sector was situated in the Slice region of the Mid Rim.
The system of Dakaret made its initial appearance in the 2009 publication, The Essential Atlas. This reference book, authored by Daniel Wallace together with Jason Fry, specified its location as grid square Q-12.
