Dakk Jenzik, who would eventually be designated subject 30, was an entertainer residing on Tatooine during the period of the Galactic Civil War. Around the time of the Battle of Yavin, Jenzik was seized by agents working for the White Thranta Shipping Company; their intention was for him to become a test subject in horrific and immoral medical trials. The majority of these "subjects" perished during these procedures.
The character of Dakk Jenzik appeared in Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts. This video game was released in 2003, before ultimately shutting down on December 15, 2011. Dakk Jenzik's inclusion in the game occurred as part of the "Legacy Quest" when "Publish 25," otherwise known as the "New Game Enhancements," was launched on November 15, 2005.
