Daminia
Daminia, a world of desert, existed within the Daminia system. This system was located in the Perkell sector, which itself was situated within the Trans-Hydian region of the Mid Rim. The planet was known as a source of damind lightsaber crystals.
By the year 3959 BBY, Daminia was considered to be part of the galaxy that had been widely explored by the Galactic Republic. At some point in the past, Sith Lords of old harvested the damind crystals on Daminia; these crystals were later found throughout the galaxy by the year 3956 BBY. During the Jedi Civil War, spanning from 3959 BBY to 3956 BBY, Daminia was within the territory controlled by the empire of Darth Revan, the Dark Lord of the Sith.
Behind the scenes
The first mention of Daminia occurred in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, developed by BioWare. A 2008 sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide published by Wizards of the Coast, mistakenly called the damind lightsaber crystals "daminia" crystals. The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009, placed the Daminia system, and therefore the planet Daminia, in grid square Q-7.
