Daniel James Gallagher


Daniel James Gallagher served as the software developer for Star Wars: The Arcade Game specifically for the Commodore 64 platform. The game Star Wars: The Arcade Game represented the initial offering from Vektor Grafix, a company Gallagher helped establish. Soon after this initial release, Gallagher departed from the company and ceased his involvement with Star Wars-related game development.

Biography

In Leeds, England, Gallagher encountered Andy Craven, leading to their joint establishment of Vektor Grafix in June of 1987. Initially, the company's workforce comprised only Gallagher, Craven, and Ciaran Gultnieks, who collaboratively worked on adapting Star Wars: The Arcade Game for different computer systems. Subsequent to securing the agreement for The Empire Strikes Back, Gallagher exited the company.
