Drugah was employed at a repair facility on Kal'Shebbol in 8 ABY. After the New Republic freed the planet, he joined the FarStar crew. His motivations were not wealth, vengeance, or even exploration; he simply desired solitude with his droids. It's plausible he held the position of the vessel's primary droid mechanic.
A withdrawn individual, Drugah only displayed enthusiasm and sociability when in the company of droids. He regarded droids as his closest companions and felt uncomfortable interacting with organic lifeforms. He firmly opposed harming others and consistently refused any blasters presented to him.
