Kentor Sarne, a male Human Moff, oversaw the Kathol sector during the Galactic Empire's rule. He commanded the Raptor, an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, along with a special contingent of stormtroopers.
During the New Order's prime, Sarne, then a young Captain, served in the Imperial Survey Corps. A navigational error caused his ship to crash near the DarkStryder's lair within the Kathol Sector, resulting in the deaths of all crew members except for Sarne. He encountered the DarkStryder soon after, and negotiated an exchange: his hyperdrive technology in return for the DarkStryder's powerful biotechnology. Eventually rescued, Sarne returned to Imperial Center and was assigned to the blockade runner Renegade as a part of the 15th Deep Core Reserve Fleet.
Following the Empire's collapse, Sarne went back to the Kathol sector, devising a scheme to seize control of the galaxy using the launch gates left behind by the ancient Kathol, who created the DarkStryder and the Lifewell. He started to consolidate his power on the planet Kal'Shebbol, until the New Republic dislodged him from his position of authority there. Sarne eluded the New Republic's forces, fleeing his Imperial government complex aboard the Carrack-class cruiser Ambition and seeking sanctuary in the DarkStryder's Fortress.
Later, Sarne reached out to Lancer Brunou, tasking him with researching the history of the Aaris people. His former vessel, the Renegade, was seized by the New Republic, renamed the FarStar, and ironically, assigned to hunt him down. Sarne orchestrated numerous deadly traps and attacks against his old flagship. However, his aspirations for galactic domination were thwarted when the crew of the FarStar vanquished the DarkStryder and unlocked the Lifewell.
Sarne met his death in an explosion that destroyed his Imperial shuttle during the Battle of Kathol System, as Republic forces shot him down while he was attempting to escape to the Bastion.
