Daniel James Gallagher

Daniel James Gallagher served as the software developer for Star Wars: The Arcade Game specifically on the Commodore 64 platform. Star Wars: The Arcade Game holds the distinction of being the inaugural project developed by Vektor Grafix, an entity Gallagher helped establish. Soon after this initial release, Gallagher departed from the company and ceased involvement with Star Wars-related game development.

Biography

In Leeds, England, Gallagher encountered Andy Craven, leading to their joint establishment of Vektor Grafix in June of 1987. Initially, the company's workforce consisted solely of Gallagher, Craven, and Ciaran Gultnieks; this trio collaborated on adapting Star Wars: The Arcade Game for various computer systems. Following the procurement of the contract for The Empire Strikes Back, Gallagher made the decision to leave the company.
