Dark Side pyramids

The Dark Side pyramids comprised a set of six elaborate, colossal, stepped pyramids constructed from stone. Their intricate design indicated advanced engineering. These structures towered above the dense foliage of an uncharted jungle planet. The Interstellar Survey Corps had visited this world previously. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, the pyramids were completely deserted and consumed by vegetation, with some exhibiting significant damage and deterioration. These pyramids enclosed a rectangular plaza, measuring 100 meters by 200 meters, paved with stone. At the summit of each pyramid lay the remnants of once-ornate temple buildings. The pyramid situated at the plaza's far end was noticeably larger than the others, as was its corresponding temple. Surrounding these pyramids were the ruins of a once-thriving city, which had also succumbed to decay and was engulfed by the encroaching jungle by the Galactic Civil War era. While the site contained few large stone sculptures, it featured extensive architectural ornamentation and relief carvings. These carvings depicted a short, stout, bipedal species characterized by large eyes and ears. The scenes portrayed six priests, highly venerated by the city's inhabitants, and several battle sequences showing the priests dominating sacrificial victims. These scenes illustrated the priests extending their hands toward their victims, who appeared to be in agony, clutching at their throats as their "souls" or "spirits" seemingly departed their bodies in a vaporous form. At the apex of the largest pyramid, two meters from the edge of the steps, was a pit measuring two meters by six meters and reaching a depth of ten meters. Above this was the Altar of the Dark Side, the site of numerous sacrifices. During the Galactic Civil War, a team of Rebels, led by a Jedi, discovered the planet and explored the pyramids. They faced multiple attacks from Dark Side wraiths before reaching the pyramid's summit and the Altar.
