The Interstellar Survey Corps served the Galactic Republic, preceding the Imperial Survey Corps. A vessel carrying four members of this corps touched down on a jungle planet, previously uncharted, where the Dark Side pyramids were located. Sadly, the entire crew perished, falling victim to the Dark Side wraiths, with their essences confined within the Altar of the Dark Side. It was from these unfortunate souls that Master Zik'tath acquired his comprehension and articulation of Basic.
