Darth Desolous's army

At some point following 3522 BBY, Darth Desolous, a Dark Lord of the Sith who had previously been ousted from the Jedi Order for his study of Sith doctrines, gathered a military force consisting of Pau'an warriors. Driven by a desire for vengeance against the Jedi, Desolous orchestrated a series of ambushes targeting Jedi Knights throughout the galaxy with his army. Ultimately, the Sith Lord and his warriors met their demise, being crushed on the planet Yaga Minor.

History

Darth Desolous, the army's founder and leader

Sometime after 3522 BBY, a Jedi Master of the Pau'an species succumbed to the allure of the dark side of the Force, resulting in his expulsion from the Jedi Order due to his exploration of Sith teachings. Fueled by a burning desire for retribution, he embraced the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith and became known as Darth Desolous. To wage war against the Jedi, he assembled a formidable army composed of Pau'an warriors. Desolous imparted his unique personal style of martial arts to his soldiers, a fighting method that integrated cortosis shields with close-quarters weaponry. Together, Desolous and his forces launched a campaign of attacks against the Jedi across the galaxy, reportedly killing close to two thousand Jedi Knights.

However, with each triumph, Desolous grew increasingly audacious and incautious. Upon discovering a small contingent of Jedi on the planet of Yaga Minor, he recklessly led his army in a direct assault on their position. Unbeknownst to Desolous, these Jedi served as bait, designed to lure him into a carefully orchestrated trap. A fleet of Jedi vessels emerged from hyperspace, effectively cutting off the Sith Lord's forces from any possibility of retreat. The entire Pau'an army was annihilated, and Desolous himself met his end during the conflict.

Behind the scenes

The army of Pau'an warriors commanded by Darth Desolous received mention within the in-game databank featured in the PlayStation 2, Wii, and PlayStation Portable iterations of the 2008 video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Krome Studios oversaw the development of these particular versions of the game.
