Darth Iratus, a Sith Lord of the reconstituted Sith Empire, was a male Human who met his end prior to the era of the Cold War. He split his time between the planets of Belsavis and Balmorra, where he both performed a prohibited rite on Belsavis capable of mending a broken form, and maintained records detailing this method.
The might Iratus wielded was so immense that it caused his physical form to deteriorate rapidly, a consequence of the Force-walking ritual. Although storing his power within holocrons offered a short-term solution, Iratus sought a permanent remedy for his condition via the Rakata Mother Machine located on Belsavis. His life, however, was ended by the blasters of Rakatan guardian droids as he tried to reach the machine.
Despite his death, Iratus' holocrons eventually ended up in the hands of Darth Thanaton, specifically within his private library. This library was later infiltrated by Lord Kallig, who sought Iratus' journals in pursuit of a solution to a comparable issue.
