During the time of the Great Galactic War, Darth Vich, a Sith Lord, established his own private military force consisting of Rattataki fighters. Vich, in an attempt to leverage this army, instigated an unsuccessful coup aimed at overthrowing the governing Dark Council of the Sith Empire's. The Rattataki who survived this event were either executed or forced into servitude.
