A notable aspect of Dathcha's reputation stemmed from an instance where they provoked a krayt dragon and survived to recount the experience.
The initial appearance of Dathcha occurred in the 1977 cinematic release, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The character was portrayed by Tiffany Kurtz, who was uncredited at the time and was the 6-year-old daughter of producer Gary Kurtz.
