Dee-Lynn Cance

Dee-Lynn Cance was a Cerean Jedi Knight of the male persuasion who dedicated his service to both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic as a Consular. Subsequent to his departure from the Order, Cance chose to withdraw to Cularin, where he spent his remaining years as a philosopher and established the Blue Star Centre.

Biography

Endowed with Force-sensitive abilities, Dee-Lyn Cance received instruction in the applications of the Force from the Jedi Order. Having successfully completed his Trials of Knighthood and achieving the status of Jedi Knight, Cance engaged in independent study, pursuing the path of the Jedi Consular. However, with the passage of time, Cance grew weary of the Jedi's perpetually active lifestyle, finding it at odds with his philosophical inclinations. Consequently, around 135 BBY, Cance made the decision to voluntarily leave the Order, relinquishing his rank and returning his lightsaber to the Jedi High Council.

Cance retired to the planet of Cularin, establishing his residence in the city of Gadrin, where he then founded the Blue Star Centre. This Centre, functioning as a meditative sanctuary, evolved into a study location accessible to philosophers from across the entire Cularin system. Constructed upon a chain of islands situated within a vast lake, the Centre thrived, becoming a hub of learning for Force-sensitives, Jedi, and non-Force users alike. Upon his passing, Cance was interred within a tomb located inside the Centre's library. Handwritten texts discovered in Cance's study would later be esteemed as the most valued items within the Centre's collection of philosophical works.
