The Deliverance functioned as a cruiser for the Republic and was part of the Republic Navy during the Great Galactic War, which saw conflict with the reconstituted Sith Empire. During the Battle of Hoth, which stretched across a large sector, the Deliverance was one of seventy-five ships obliterated above the planet of Hoth in 3665 BBY. Later, during the Cold War, when Republic forces found the Deliverance on Hoth, a Republic officer recalled that his sibling had been a crew member on the ship.
