Delweed

Delweed was a type of grain that originated from the planet of Thorum. In the Imperial Era, this grain was a relatively small export of Thorum, yet it gained popularity outside of the planet. Around 13 BBY, Qi'ra, an agent of the Crimson Dawn, adopted the alias Elesa Norre and pretended to be a grain purchaser as part of her infiltration of the Hammers, a criminal organization on Thorum.

She engaged with Dennet Clyde, the head of the Hammers, and expressed her desire to acquire their delweed. Taken aback by the request, Clyde explained that the Hammers faced constraints in their delivery capabilities due to issues with their transports. Qi'ra asserted that she possessed her own ships and wished to buy the delweed directly. Clyde then excused himself to prepare the sales contract. Qi'ra made a swift exit, vowing to come back the next day, though she actually reappeared several days later, signing the delweed agreements with her assumed identity. Soon after, the Crimson Dawn's plan moved into its attack phase, resulting in killing Clyde as punishment for interfering with Crimson Dawn's off-world agreements.
