Emily Kate Johnston, born on May 19, 1984, is an author recognized for her contributions to the Star Wars canon through her various young-adult novels.
The young-adult novel Ahsoka, launched on October 11, 2016, is perhaps Johnston's most celebrated work. Furthermore, she penned the tale "By Whatever Sun" featured in the From a Certain Point of View anthology; this story centers around Miara Larte, a character Johnston originally conceived for Ahsoka, and depicts her activities during the timeframe of A New Hope.
