The Dennig-Far, which translates to "False Hope" in Galactic Basic Standard, was an Oktarian expression. The inhabitants of Oktaro employed this term to characterize the period of three years that elapsed between the planetary liberation from the Separatist Alliance and the subsequent arrival of the Galactic Empire. The term originated because the Oktarians, after the Separatists' departure, held the belief that they could reconstruct their civilization toward a more promising future. However, the Imperial occupation ultimately rendered these reconstruction attempts futile.
