Devilsquid represented a type of cephalopod species that inhabited the most profound oceanic areas of the world Dac, including places like Devil's Crevasse. Significantly larger than a fully grown Human, they were recognized as fiercely predatory beings. Their name and physical characteristics bore a strong resemblance to the demonsquid found on Aquaris.
In the year 137 ABY, Master Treis Sinde of the Imperial Knights employed the Force to command a substantial group of Devilsquid, directing them to attack a Sea Leviathan. This creature had been created by Vul Isen, a Givin scientist affiliated with the One Sith, with the intention of achieving the extermination of the Mon Calamari. The squid managed to overwhelm the monster, dragging it into their habitat where they proceeded to consume it entirely.
