While on a quest to locate a forgotten tomb, Darth Bane demonstrated this power by suppressing the aggression of an attacking bull rancor. Subsequently, he employed it to compel a Drexl to obey his commands, riding it from Dxun directly to Onderon to engage a band of beast riders. The Twi'lek Jedi Master Tott Doneeta also utilized this talent to befriend a ferocious boma during his mission to rescue Princess Galia on Onderon. He rode the beast into the Beast Riders' stronghold before he, Ulic Qel-Droma, and his brother Cay Qel-Droma uncovered the truth regarding Queen Amanoa. Kreia instructed the Jedi Exile in this technique while they were marooned on Dxun, facilitating their passage through the dense jungles.
Qui-Gon Jinn successfully influenced a draigon, prompting it to rescue his prospective Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and later a kudana while evading a stampede. In 43 ABY, during a disturbance at the Coruscant Livestock Exchange and Exhibition, Jaina Solo employed this ability to command a substantial number of animals. Darth Talon may have employed a variation of this ability to govern wild animals on Vendaxa. Cade Skywalker utilized this power to induce a clawbird to transport him to Deliah Blue's location after she was captured by Darth Maladi.
In 138 ABY, Darth Nihl employed this power to ward off an attack from a tuk'ata while searching for Darth Talon.
