Dezsetes, an Admiral within the Imperial Navy, served aboard the Mathayus, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, around 1 BBY. He began as Second Officer, holding the rank of Captain, reporting to both Admiral [Coy] and First Officer [Atali].
Dezsetes participated in a coup orchestrated by Grand Moff [Trachta]. This coup aimed to depose Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, intending to replace them with a ruling group of high-ranking military and paramilitary leaders. As the conspiracy developed, Dezsetes ascended to the position of second-in-command following Officer Altai's elimination. He then actively sought chances to impress Vader, who was using the Mathayus as his command center at the time. After determining that Admiral Coy would not support the coup, Dezsetes murdered him in his private quarters. Concealing the true circumstances of Coy's death, Vader seemingly promoted him to Admiral soon after this incident.
Dezsetes, accompanied by a squad of specially-trained stormtroopers loyal to Trachta, ultimately confronted Vader. However, his elite troops were swiftly defeated and annihilated. Defeated and trapped, Dezsetes boldly declared that Trachta had assassinated Palpatine on Coruscant, which led Vader to execute him immediately. The HoloNet broadcasted these occurrences to the Imperial Palace, which also resulted in the death of Moff Kadir, who had assumed leadership of the coup and was, at that moment, trying to convince Palpatine of his continued value following its failure.
