Dianth, a planet situated within the Malitoris system, served as the location of the city known as Vaale. This city, believed to be constructed from living stone, housed the artifact called the Rings of Vaale. The legend states that the curse associated with these Rings brought about the corruption of the entire planet. Numerous explorers endeavored to reach Dianth, but only a small number managed to survive; those who did were reportedly driven insane by what they encountered. Doctor Eustacia Okka, while employed as a professor at the Shadow University, became aware of Dianth and the Rings of Vaale; however, she was subsequently dismissed due to a lack of sufficient and reliable scholarly investigation.
