Doaskin was a planetary body located within the Doaskin system, which itself was situated in the Bruanii sector. This sector was part of the Western Reaches, a section of the Outer Rim Territories. All of these locations are considered Legends. In the early years of the Galactic Empire's reign, which commenced in 19 BBY, Doaskin became the main operational hub for the Tagge Company within the Greater Javin area. A short time following the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY, Planet Dreams, Incorporated had created and sold a compound at Doaskin specifically for the House of Tagge, with Treva Horme, the company's lead saleswoman, being recognized for finalizing the agreement.
The designation "Doaskin" originated from the House of Tagge's compound as referenced in Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement, "Rough and Tundra." This supplement was released on Wizards.com on March 25, 2004. Later, in 2008, The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia formally identified Doaskin as a planet. The 2009 publication, The Essential Atlas, situated the Doaskin system, and consequently the planet, within grid coordinate K-18.
