Dobbis was a rain goddess in the Gungan species' religion on the planet of Naboo. Dobbis, together with Gob Gobba, who was the god of fresh water, was regarded as a significant deity of nature and was supervised by the primary deity, Oma-Oma. A statue on Naboo, bearing the name of Dobbis, was situated on a stone cliff next to a stream with a view of a waterfall. Prior to the Invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY, Captain Swagg, a Chiss pirate, dispatched two droids with the intention of stealing the Dobbis statue, among other items, but Jar Jar Binks, a Gungan, intervened to prevent the theft.
The 2000 novel Star Wars: Episode I Adventures series' eleventh book, Pirates from Beyond the Sea by Ryder Windham, featured the Dobbis statue. Later, in the French release of the 2001 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, Dobbis was identified as a Gungan goddess.
