This bay served as the main port for incoming food transports, which supplied the "tasty fare" available for purchase in Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, the food sales section of the structure.
A scaled-down representation of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park area, featuring the docking bay, was initially presented at the D23 Expo in 2017. Furthermore, the building's exterior was briefly shown in a segment incorporated into the Star Tours: The Adventures Continue ride on November 17, 2017. On December 16, 2017, at Disney's "Galactic Nights" event, trading cards were released that identified the docking bay, together with Black Spires, as locations featured in the soon-to-open attraction. It was featured on the same card as Black Spires.
