The aerial skirmish, known as the dogfight over Naboo, was a relatively insignificant space engagement. It occurred above Naboo sometime following 0 ABY.
While the Royal Naboo Security Forces dealt with criminal organizations like the Maulers and the Skaak Tippers on the planet's surface, the Naboo Planetary Defense faced issues with pirates. After the successful operation that resulted in the death of Jonni Skaak, a leader of the Skaak Tippers, the RSF agents involved were placed under the command of Typho in Keren. Typho saw this as an opportunity to address the pirate problem.
Typho decided to assist Naboo Planetary Defense. He instructed his newly assigned subordinates to launch into space and patrol the Naboo system. During their patrol, the agents encountered a small pirate squadron of five Kihraxz light fighters, and they immediately engaged in combat. The pirates were defeated, and the RSF agents returned to Keren to report to Typho.
Typho then ordered them to return to space, anticipating the arrival of the pirate leader Rezunin Starwing. Starwing arrived with an escort of three M3-A Scyk fighters, but the NPD agents defeated him as well.
With the pirate problem resolved, Typho was able to fully focus on the threat posed by the Maulers. He sent his agents on multiple missions against the Maulers before placing them under the command of Pooja Naberrie.
