Domir, a star, illuminated the Dathomir system. This system was positioned within the Quelii sector, situated in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. Dathomir, a planet, along with its quartet of moons, revolved around this radiant celestial body. The sunlight it emitted was red in hue.
The initial depiction of Dathomir's sun occurred in "Revenge," the twenty-second episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars' fourth season. This episode was initially broadcast on March 14, 2012.
Within the current Star Wars canon, the name of this sun was disclosed in the fourty-ninth issue of Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, a magazine released by De Agostini on December 9, 2015. Conversely, in Star Wars Legends, the sun's designation was first unveiled in Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds. This sourcebook, created for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, was brought to the public by Wizards of the Coast on March 24, 2004.
