Dorosii

Dorosii, a Hutt, functioned as the Appointed Intermediate representing the Periphery region within the Galactic Senate throughout the time of the Galactic Republic's rule. In the year 22 BBY, a Nikto cult known as the Cult of M'dweshuu, which venerated death, initiated a series of killings along the Sisar Run hyperlane situated in the Periphery. Dorosii attempted to assure the Republic that Hutt authorities would quell the cult's violence independently, without the need for Republic intervention. Nevertheless, the Jedi Council is said to have commenced an investigation into the situation.

Biography

Dorosii represented the Periphery (pictured on map) as an Appointed Intermediate to the Galactic Senate.

Dorosii, a Hutt, acted as the Appointed Intermediate for the Periphery, a sector of space bordering Hutt Space, within the Galactic Senate during the Galactic Republic's era. In 22 BBY, the Cult of M'dweshuu, a Nikto cult that worshipped death and originated from the world of Kintan, began a wave of widespread murders along the Sisar Run hyperspace route in the Periphery, resulting in the deaths of at least twenty-seven individuals.

After the outbreak of cult-related violence, Dorosii tried to convince Republic officials that there was no need for them to get involved, asserting that local Hutt authorities would handle the M'dweshuu attacks. Despite the Hutt's assurances, the Jedi Council made plans to investigate the murders regardless. HoloNet News reported that they likely intended to dispatch a task force to the Periphery themselves. A HoloNet News CoCo District Edition issue later covered both the M'dweshuu cult murders and Dorosii's communications with Republic officials.

Personality and traits

Dorosii was of the opinion that the Republic's involvement in resolving the M'dweshuu murders was unnecessary, a view not shared by the Jedi Council.
