Drelliad Village existed as a minor community situated along the northern shoreline of the Avilatan region of Ord Mantell, specifically during the era known as the Cold War.
Established some years prior to the conclusion of the Cold War, Drelliad Village originated as a secluded getaway owned by Ulla Drelliad, a well-known smuggler. Following Drelliad's passing, the once-private retreat evolved into a thriving hub for commerce. The village became a highly sought-after territory during the Ord Mantell Civil War, witnessing intense battles between Republic and separatist factions vying for dominance over the landing platform that once functioned as Ulla's personal docking area. Given that the village's docking facility represented one of the few landing zones outside of the Republic's stronghold at Fort Garnik, the village held significant strategic value.
Drelliad Village, together with the rest of Avilatan, was conceptualized and implemented for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that was launched by BioWare on December 20, 2011. Drelliad functions as the initial area for both the Republic trooper and smuggler character classes.
