Drezzel, an Imperial Captain, oversaw the Imperial base located on Seoul 5 in the period immediately following the Battle of Endor. Following orders from an Imperial Governor, Drezzel led a significant contingent of troops to the previously undiscovered world, the site of a venerable and mythical Human society, with the mission of locating precious artifacts. Upon discovering a collection of highly prized Seoularian crystals, he tasked scientists Ualp Xathan and Fem Nu-Ar with their analysis. Soon after, Han Solo and Chewbacca, representing the nascent Alliance of Free Planets, arrived, driven by their own pursuit of riches. Drezzel sent his aide, the telepathic feline Ssssk!, after them, but Ssssk! failed to stop Solo from destabilizing the city's crystal control room, triggering a catastrophic blast that annihilated the entire settlement.
