Throughout the Galactic Civil War, certain DT-29 pistols appeared on battlefields as standard-issue sidearms. These particular blasters incorporated energy packs that drastically improved both their stopping power and firing speed. However, after only six shots, the pack had to be removed and manually replaced. The DT-29 uses a 6-shot cylinder power cell and must be reloaded, instead of simply cooled.
