The Duro Defense Force, also known as the DDF, acted as the designated defense force for the planet Duro within the framework of the NRDF during the Yuuzhan Vong War. In 26 ABY, when the Yuuzhan Vong from beyond the galaxy launched their invasion of Duro, the DDF mounted a defense of the orbital cities, deploying starfighters in an effort to repel the incoming Yuuzhan Vong assault. Despite their efforts, the Yuuzhan Vong ultimately conquered Duro, leading to the likely annihilation of the DDF. Should any elements of the DDF have survived and successfully fled, it is reasonable to assume they would have been integrated into the broader Defense Forces structure.
The DDF's composition consisted of four squadrons each of E-wings, B-wings, and Dagger-D police fighters, in addition to defense platforms, all operating under the leadership of Poesy and Admiral Darez Wuht.
