Dyne 577 sublight engines, sometimes called Dyne 577 radial atomizer engines, represented a specific type of sublight engine employed on the starships belonging to the Judicial Forces. This peacekeeping arm operated as part of the Galactic Republic's Department of Justice. Specifically, three engines of this type were incorporated into the design of Consular-class space cruisers.
Serving as the main source of propulsion, these durable and potent engines were used by the starships of the Republic Diplomatic Fleet. Consular-class space cruisers, like the Radiant VII, were equipped with them. These thrusters enabled Republic cruisers to achieve substantial atmospheric speeds, with the ability to reach up to 900 kilometers per hour.
