The Bargainer who represented the Qom Jha was known as Eater Of Fire Creepers. It is highly probable that he gained this moniker from consuming the perilous fire creepers insect. His suspicion of the Qom Qae stemmed from their failure to relay a message concerning the Chiss "Threateners"—who had established themselves on their planet of Nirauan—to Luke Skywalker, a breach of their agreed-upon terms. Consequently, when Child Of Winds, the young offspring of the Qom Qae Bargainer, guided Skywalker into Qom Jha territory searching for his "captured" companion Mara Jade, Eater Of Fire Creepers harbored distrust towards Child Of Winds, holding him accountable for his people's lapse.
Notwithstanding his ill will toward the Qom Qae, Skywalker and Jade managed to negotiate with Eater Of Fire Creepers, securing the Qom Jha's assistance in infiltrating the "Threatener" stronghold. He dispatched three guides—Builder With Vines, Splitter Of Stones, and Keeper Of Promises—to provide support. Following the aid provided by the two Humans and Child Of Winds in their struggle against the Chiss, the debt owed to them was settled. Eater Of Fire Creepers subsequently convened with Hunter Of Winds, and they both concurred on the necessity for Luke and Mara to depart, advocating for peaceful relations between the two indigenous factions of Nirauan.
Eater Of Fire Creepers made his inaugural appearance in Vision of the Future, a novel penned by Timothy Zahn and released in 1998.
