Edan II
Edan II was a celestial body situated within the Expansion Region. Around the time of 2 BBY, it functioned as the central base of operations for a clandestine organized rebellion against the ruling Galactic Empire, covertly directed by Senator Mon Mothma. A galaxy-wide map created for Mothma identified Edan II, marking it alongside the rebellion's secure safe worlds, advanced starfighter command centers (level five and above), operational headquarters, concealed shadow planets, and hidden deep space supply depots. This very map was eventually preserved by archivist Hendri Underholt within The Rebel Files, a collection of documents not stored electronically.
Behind the scenes
The mention of Edan II was incorporated into established Star Wars canon when it appeared in the 2017 reference work, Star Wars: The Rebel Files, authored by Daniel Wallace. Its origins lie in the now-defunct Star Wars Legends timeline, specifically the 1997 Introductory Adventure Game roleplaying boxed set. This set was created by Peter Schweighofer and Stephen Luminati, and released by West End Games as a component of Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.
